Do your one thing!
Today’s tip – hmm 25 is a big deal – We are 60% of the way done. I think today’s big push is portion control. I have no internal portion control guide. I don’t I go big or go home with everything – it is my winning characteristic and my epic fail each and everytime. I exercise with gusto and go for big goals, but those healthy choices are counteracted by my sweet love of food. The onlyt hing I have going for me is that I’m not really a great cook so I don’t eat too much of my own food… unless it’s honey lime enchiladas (make double the marinade…but well that’s just me and my going big)… you can imagine my surprise when I found out a serving isn’t the whole pyrex dish full. I love the 100 days of real food website. I get it delivered to my inbox daily. It does often make me feel guilty as we are still consuming so much processed food, but we are trying and Lisa is so kind in her writing I don’t think she ever tries to make me feel bad. I listened to Michael Pollen’s book In Defense of Food so I knew what I was getting into when I started reading her blog – the part I really like about it though is that she writes about their journey to where they are at now – and is honest about her love of good food and that she doesn’t mind being in the kitchen. This is her article on portion size and listening to our hunger clues. I have no hunger clues – I’ve impressed many a person with the amount I can eat. My trick is to eat as much salad and fruit as I can. I love them and so I try to at least go into dinner with a fighting chance by filling up somewhat.
