40 days of fitness – day 4

Do your one thing!
And as a little aside if you already have a crazy work out schedule – you can always add a little something. I jog M-W-TH and S but I’m adding these extra things in to hopefully get stronger.

Do 10 minutes of cardio. Here are some ideas… 10 minute dance party with your kids. We are going to do this. Walk for 10 minutes – this is very versatile. You can walk around your house while you talk on the phone, you can walk at the mall, you can do laps around your office during your lunch break.  You can bike, take a hike, go to the gym or do a little cardio exercise tape.

I’d love to hear what you did. It would be great accountability.

I could totally do all of that (except the running 4 days a week). I’m off to a 10 minute dance party with my kids. Thanks, Kelly.
Have you ever read The Power of Habit? I would be interested to hear how you make exercise and creativity habits in your routine.

I haven’t read that Jeanne, but it’s true all the things I still do are the ones I do everyday or at least on a schedule, the power of habit is pretty awesome. I think it is also in choosing. When I was going to run the marathon I knew I had to put in the miles or I would never make it… so I just made it a priority like doing the dishes and laundry… you just always do them. So I did and now I’ve kept on the schedule, mostly trying to do exerciss before everyone wakes up. It would be fun if we all played on a team together in the summer… softball?
